Celebrating the Roots of a Warwick Education
Celebrating the Roots of an African Education at 60
The University of Warwick—and Warwick Law School in particular—has a long and proud history of engagement with Africa, stretching from the 1960s to the present day. In 2025, this legacy was honoured through a series of three connected events, including an on-campus celebration in Spring 2025.
Co-delivered by the Warwick Africa Hub, Warwick Law School, and the Department of Politics and International Studies, the Africa Day event reflected on the historic and contemporary connections our students, staff, and alumni share with Africa. It celebrated the transformational impact of this engagement, both within the University and globally.
