All of the Warwick Volunteers team would like to say a big thank you to all our volunteers for your hard work this year.
We hope your summer vacation will give you a chance to relax and reflect on the past year’s successes. We will be sending occasional emails over the summer to keep in touch and we look forward to seeing you in October.
We wish everyone leaving Warwick the very best of luck in your future. Don’t forget, even after you graduate Warwick can still support you. You will have free access to the careers services after graduation. For further information please see the Student Careers and Skills website
Save the date: The Volunteering Fair will take place on Friday 6 October in Rootes building, Panorama rooms, 10.30am-3.30 pm.
The Fair is a great opportunity to find out more about the projects on offer and talk to student Project Leaders and representatives from local charities, more details to follow.
If you are thinking about joining a school or youth volunteering project next year, please remember that it’s much easier and quicker to get the documentation you need for a DBS check (and Certificate of Good Conduct if applicable) over the summer vacation when you go home, so you have it ready to bring with you at the start of next term. For further information go to our DBS page
If you haven’t done so already, please collect your certificate for 20 hours or more of volunteering from the Warwick Volunteers Office during our opening hours.
If you are an undergraduate your receipt of the Warwick Volunteers certificate will be listed on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) in late July/August.
Warwick Volunteers is part of the Student Careers and Skills department so our certificate will not be listed under Students’ Union activities on the HEAR.
For more information on the HEAR please visit:
This project aims to initiate community interaction by creating spaces that encourage neighbours from the Canley neighbourhood area to meet, talk and share talents and stories.
Volunteers will help run fun games and activities for local residents.
Date: Saturday 1 July
Time: 9.45am - 4.00pm
Transport and lunch will be provided by Warwick Volunteers.
If you would like to join, please sign-up here
Rawkus are looking for volunteers on 1 & 2 July (end of Week 10) for their end of term collection.
