My name is Nikoo, and I was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1979. I have a diploma from Tehran’s Art School, and I moved to the UK in 2010, where I continued my studies in Fashion Design. I have lived in Coventry for one year before moving to London. I love travelling to visit art galleries and enjoy focusing and understanding the details of folk and modern art and incorporating many such details in what I make, colours, shapes and patterns being of particular interest. I am interested in a wide spectrum of arts but my primary interests are painting and jewellery making.

من نیکو هستم و متولد 1979 در شهر تهران. دوره های نقاشی رو در آموزشگاه کمال‌الملک گذروندم در سال 2010 به انگلستان مهاجرت کردم یک سال در شهر کاونتری بودم و بعد به شهر لندم آمدم و در رشته طراحی لباس شروع به تحصیل کردم.

من همیشه سعی کردم در سفرهای که داشتم از هنر مدرن و سنتی کشورهای مختلف دیدن کنم، چون باعث رشد خلاقیتم میشن

برداشتم از مفهوم خانه در این تابلو نقاشی این است که

رقصیدن بر روی رنگ و نقشهای بی‌نظیر فرش در زیره نور درخشان خورشید است.

چون

خانه‌های ما ایرانیان پوشیده از این نقشها ورنگهای زیبا است و ما هر روزه زندگیمان بر روی این زیبایی ها می‌گذرانیم.

The meaning of my artwork in relation to the theme of home is the feeling of being in a familiar space, where you can dance and spin barefoot on something with warm colours, harmonious designs in the golden sunlight. Carpets in my country cover the whole house, so all parts of our everyday life happens on top of those beautiful and intricate designs, so having an artwork that resembles a carpet with all the familiar colours and designs helps the mind travel to a different place, called home.
