Prof P Stewart

Professor Paul Stewart, CBE

Chair of the CEHP Board

Professor Stewart is a leading clinician scientist/endocrinologist who has held numerous senior leadership positions over a 40-year career in the NHS and academia, including Dean of Medicine and Health at the University of Leeds and Vice President/acting President of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Professor Stewart Chairs the CEHP Board, providing strategic advice as the partnership develops and implements its programmes.

Prof G Perkins

Professor Gavin Perkins, MBE

CEHP Clinical Director

Professor Perkins, Dean of Warwick Medical School, is a senior clinical academic with over 25 years’ experience of serving the National Health Service and universities in the Midlands, with internationally leading research in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Prior to his appointment as Dean of Warwick Medical School in 2023, he had been Director of the Warwick Clinical Trials unit from 2017 and Deputy Dean from 2022. Alongside his Dean role, Professor Perkins provides strategic and clinical leadership to the CEHP and plays a key role in developing cross-partner collaboration.

Jane Coleman

CEHP Board Secretary

Jane provides oversight and advisory support to the partnership in her role as Director of Delivery and Operations, Health Innovation at the University of Warwick. Jane was instrumental in establishing the CEHP and brings considerable leadership and governance expertise to the team. She has held a range of leadership roles at Warwick, including 16 years as Chief Operating Officer with Warwick Manufacturing Group.

Charlotte Kershaw

CEHP Head of Programmes

Charlotte leads the core team and is responsible for the operational delivery of the CEHP vision. Her passion lies in creating the conditions, communities, and support structures needed for research to lead to service change and human health benefit. Charlotte is also the Programme Lead for the Institute of Translational Medicine at the University of Warwick.

Amy Arnold

CEHP Project Manager

Amy is the CEHP’s Project Manager, supporting the partnership’s day-to-day operations. She holds a degree in life sciences and has previously worked in clinical research project management roles across NHS and Higher Education Institutions in the Midlands, most recently at Warwick Clinical Trials Unit.
