Organised by Jonathan Heron and Nick Monk from the Capital Centre, this event enabled students to explore Angels in America and contemporary issues surrounding sexual identity and HIV/AIDS.

A screening and discussion of Jarman's 1991 film led by Dr José Arroyo , Lecturer in the Department of Film and Television Studies.

A charity revue compiled of musical songs around the title themes; the performance raised £240 for the Terrence Higgins Trust.

A poetry workshop was led by Can Sonmez, who is writing a PhD on AIDS and poetic form in the English Department, exploring poets as diverse as Thom Gunn, Tory Dent and Paul Monette.
