Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish discusses his book I Shall Not Hate about his life as Palestinian doctor living close to the Israeli border and witnessing half a century of horror and destruction in Gaza. Abuelaish has suffered unimaginable loss including the horrific deaths of three of his daughters and a niece, killed during Israeli shelling of his home. The book demonstrates his response to the situation which is not hatred and violence, but insight and compassion that emphasises his wish for peace and reconciliation.
