Javier Cercas has written three novels including the best selling Soldiers of Salamis set during the Spanish Civil War, his newest work The Anatomy of a Moment sees him turn his hand to non-fiction and was published on the 30th anniversary of the attempted coup in the Spanish Parliament. He is Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Girona, Spain and contributes to the Catalan edition of El Pais and the Sunday supplement.
