Film screening: People of Steel
WUB Hub organised a screening of the documentary film People of Steel. Directed and produced by Ukrainian musician Serhiy Fomenko, the film documents the defence of Mariupol following Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The film draws attention to the courage of Ukrainians and the plight of prisoners of war.
Following the screening, Dr Olena Miliienko (PAIS) and Lev Levchenko (Warwick Ukrainian Society) shared some reflections on the film, the war, and its global significance.
