Belarus Freedom Day exhibition in European Parliament

Europe is celebrating Belarus Freedom Day 2024 with the Belarusian Freedom Fighters, TODAY, 19th of March 2024 at Yehudi Menuhin Area in the European Parliament in Brussels at 18h00.

There will be an exhibition about Ales Bialiatski, Novel Prize Laureate and Sakharov Prize Laureate, titled 'I am not afraid, let them be afraid'. Immediately afterwards, there will be a launch of the theatre play from Belarus Free Theatre titled 'Postchildhood', featuring young Belarusian artists and teenagers. We believe that now, as in the years before, we need to continue drawing attention and supporting the fight of Belarusians against tyranny of Lukashenka – the regime in Europe that kills its political opponents the same way Putin does. The Belarusians fight for their freedom through artistic initiatives, different social and political efforts, and by the example of freedom fighters, many of whom are being held in prisons by Lukashenka. The event is organised by the MEP office with MEP Dace Melbārde; MEP Andrzej Halicki; MEP Rasa Juknevičienė; MEP Włodzimierz Karpiński; MEP Sandra Kalniete; MEP Andrius Kubilius from the EPP Group
