New Book Project: Belarusian Students Behind Bars
The Warwick Ukraine-Belarus Hub is delighted to partner with Skaryna Press on a new book project. The book, a collection of essays written by Belarusian students, recounts their experiences of imprisonment during the 2020 protests. Touching and horrifying in equal measure, the essays of these young, educated Belarusians make for essential reading; they were punished because they believe in a better future for their country. The volume, curated by Victor Shadurski (formerly of the Belarusian State University), is currently in preparation with publication expected towards the end of the year.
