Join Our Climate Change Reading Group
Join us on the 29th of January and 5th of February to discuss The Ministry for the Future .
A novel that imagines a near-future world ravaged by climate disaster, sparking radical activism, Artificial Intelligence, geo-engineering, and global shifts in governance. Set in the 2020s and 2030s, the novel challenges our response to the climate crisis—asking whether science fiction can better address the Anthropocene than traditional literary fiction.
In this reading group, we’ll:
- Explore the novel’s take on climate activism, geo-engineering, and global governance.
- Discuss critical issues like environmental violence, degrowth, and international cooperation.
- Engage with expert perspectives from the Environmental Humanities Network and beyond.
Why Join?
