Overseas Institutional Visit (OIV) – Josh Gibbs
Joshua Gibbs in on the Health and Well-being pathway at the University of Warwick. Josh undertook a 13-week OIV at the University of Toronto in Canada.
During their time there they are able to create data analysis on Dietary Greenhouse Gas Emissions contributing to the emerging literature on the intersection between nutrition and environmental sustainability.
They attended the Plant-Based Canada Conference, where I engaged with leading researchers, clinicians, and policy experts working at the interface of plant-based nutrition, chronic disease prevention and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, Josh was invited to appear as a guest on the Plant-Based Canada podcast.
Josh also connected with fellow PhD students and leading academics at the University of Toronto, including Professors David Jenkins and John Sievenpiper. Through these interactions, they gained invaluable feedback on my research and received strategic guidance on the trajectory of their doctoral work and future academic career.
