Placement – Rebecca Bull
Rebecca is on the Social Policy & Social Work pathway at the University of Nottingham and completed a 12-week placement with Sonia Kumar’s MP Offices.
During this placement at their MP’s offices, Rebecca was able to utilise their research methods skills in the adult social care sector and completed research concerning the perceptions of dementia in the Dudley constituency, including awareness, care and treatment.
They also developed their skills further and gained an awareness of what a career in government and parliament may look like. An unexpected benefit Rebecca found during the placement was a deep sense of connectedness to their local community.
