Placement - Rong Wei
Rong is on the on the Political Science and International Relations pathway at the University of Birmingham and undertook a placement at the Centre for China and Globalisation in Beijing, China, from 4/9/2025 to 17/10/2025.
During the placement, Rong achieved substantial professional and academic growth through participation in a range of activities, events, and research projects across different departments within CCG, including the Research Centre and the Activities Centre. It was an intensive internship, and Rong has gained first-hand insight into the operations of a Chinese think tank and developed a clear understanding of how such institutions organise events and promote their work within the international community. This placement with CCG has had a demonstrably positive impact on both Rong's doctoral research and their broader professional development.
