About the Warwick Institute for Financial Computing
The Warwick Institute for Financial Computing was founded to bring together intellectual capital found at the university in finance and computing.
Mission Statement:
- to foster an inter-departmental shared vision of financial computing at Warwick.
- to develop collaborations with our industrial partners, such as Microsoft, IBM, and Bloomberg,
- to design and implement an integrated IT infrastructure for the storage of financial data and research in quantitative finance
- to develop our teaching curriculum to include technical areas of computing relevant to the financial sector, and
- to raise awareness of the institute by inviting distinguished speakers for seminars and workshops.
