Dr Peter Zeh

Peter Zeh is currently a Clinical Recruitment Network Facilitator / Clinical Research Fellow working on two multi-centre trials [Dementia and Physical Activity Trial (DAPA) and Prevention of Fall Injury Trial (Pre-FIT)], Warwick Medical School (WMS). Prior to this role, he was an NHS PhD Research Fellow and completed his PhD thesis on ‘Delivering Diabetes Care to Ethnic Diversity (DEDICATED)’ at WMS. This 3 year fellowship project (2010 - 2013), used mixed-methods (systematic reviews, surveys, participant observations, PAR, interviews and thematic analysis) to explore and engage patients, MDT healthcare professionals (HCPs), and clinical commissioning group leaders on partnership working at all levels to develop and implement appropriate services for ethnic minority people with diabetes.

Peter is a highly experienced, motivated healthcare professional and lifelong learner with excellent interpersonal and a broad range of skills gained in the NHS and academia. He has been employed with University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust for over 17 years in various roles and has proven track records in general nursing, clinical governance, clinical risk management, project management, cultural competences, teaching, and mixed methods research.

Peter has special interest in Dementia and Diabetes research, particularly in the areas of effective dementia and diabetes care delivery, enhancing diabetes self-management and developing cultural competences frameworks to improve care provision for ethnic minority groups, and in formulating culturally-competent training programmes for healthcare professionals.
