RJD's Covid project is reaching fruition with a manuscript (mostly written) and a short talk scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, just before afternoon coffee.

The Cellular Molecular Orbital (CMO) model is based on Guy Woolley's formulation of ligand field theory but extends the conceptual framework to the whole periodic table. It represents a paradigm shift in conceptual inorganic chemistry.

In principle, the CMO approach supplants Lewis structures, VSEPR theory, Valence Bond theory, simple MO theory, Walsh diagrams, crystal field theory and textbook ligand field theory.
