On Saturday the 16th of August members of WEIG were involved in the colour run in Birmingham, for the charity Save the Children. The run is called the "happiest 5k on the planet", sponsored by Dulux, and involved lots and lots of powder paint. Everyone had a great time, and finished up with an amazing Brazilian BBQ in central Birmingham. Congratulations to everyone involved!!

On Sunday 8^th of June, 7 members of the Electrochemistry group (Pat, Aleix, Jenny, Rob C, Rob L, Josh and Dmitry) fought it out to complete a 10 kilometre run from Warwick castle to Kenilworth castle. The Two Castles run has now become part of WEIG tradition, with the group having taken part in the race for the past 6 years. There was huge anticipation as to who in the group would cross the finish line first, and in the end it was Pat that raced through to victory!

Congratulations to all those that participated, for their commitment and dedication to the race. We now look forward to next year's event, and to see if anyone can beat Pat!

The electrochemistry group also came 20th overall in the run! Congratulations guys!

Warwick Electrochemistry group does Movember raising a fantastic £585.00 for Charity!

This November, several members of the group shaved off their facial hair and grew moustaches for charity. A fantastic £585 was raised by our team, which has gone towards funding clinical research into prostate and testicular cancer through the Movember charity.
