LunchBytes is a series of informal seminars organised by the Centre for Scientific Computing. It is targetted at graduate students in the Science Faculty, but all are welcome to attend. Each seminar will consist of a one-hour talk on some computational technique, including a discussion on the wider applications. Some pointers to the literature, case studies etc, will be provided on the Web. The intention is that these talks should be multidisciplinary, emphasising how the methods may be used in more than one field, and not concentrating too much on individual specialist research topics.
