Study overview

The FACT Study is split across 3 work packages

Work Package 1

In the first stage of the study, we completed a literature review and carried out workshops in local communities to speak to members of the public about:

  • things that stop people from helping someone having a cardiac arrest
  • things that would help them get involved.

Work Package 2

Following our earlier work, we have designed an intervention package that we think can help get local communities involved if they see someone having a cardiac arrest.

We spoke about our ideas with members of the public and with representatives from organisations such as the Resuscitation Council UK, the British Heart Foundation and St John Ambulance at a Stakeholder Workshop.

Work Package 3

In this part of the study, we organised Community CPR Awareness and Training Workshops to see how well they work for local communities.

We have now completed all Workshops.
