Information for health professionals

INTRODUCTION

ReSTORe is focusing on stroke survivors’ post-hospital admission, specifically those who are between 6 to 36 months post-discharge. The trial is testing the effectiveness of a remote rehabilitation programme on improving health-related quality of life for people with mild to moderate physical and/or mental health disability after stroke. The rehabilitation will be delivered online via a central hub of specialists.

RECRUITMENT

We are currently in the process of setting up PIC sites and are working closely with the RRDNs to engage GP surgeries in sending out invitation letters via Docmail. While we are focused on primary care recruitment, we are also open to collaborating with secondary care sites. However, please note that we are unable to offer accrual funding, which has limited uptake from secondary care.

If your site is community-based and unable to use Docmail, we can provide printed copies of the patient invitation letter and study flyer for you to distribute directly.

If you’re interested in acting as a PIC site or would like to find out more, please get in touch with us via restore@warwick.ac.uk.
