STRESS-L Investigator Meeting 14 June 2021

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the STRESS-L virtual Investigator Meeting. We hope you found the meeting informative and useful to help with recruitment and answer any questions you might have. A special thank you to Prof Ingeborg Welters (PI) at Royal Liverpool and Dr Sam Waddy (PI) at Derriford Hospital for your insight and top tips for recruiting to the trial. We would also like to thank our PPI representative Lee Bettles for being honest and open regarding his real life experience of having sepsis and why STRESS-L matters.

STRESS-L is now re-open to recruitment 21.08.2020

We are delighted to announce STRESS-L has received confirmation to restart recruitment. Thank you to all of our recruitment sites for your patience whilst we have prepared for the restart. We very much look forward to working with you again shortly.

The STRESS-L trial team will contact each site individually to provide the green light to locally restart recruitment.

Please do not restart screening or recruitment until you have received this greenlight.

STRESS-L is suspended during COVID-19 pandemic 18.03.2020

As of 18 March 2020, STRESS-L has been temporarily halted to screening and recruitment until further notice. This decision has come following recent NIHR guidanceLink opens in a new window to move towards supporting the Urgent Public Health research portfolio for COVID-19. The NIHR EME remain fully supportive of the trial and recruitment will recommence when are in the position to do so.

Sites are asked to move all IMP stored on ICU to pharmacy as soon as possible to ensure essential temperature monitoring continues and inform the STRESS-L trial team when this has been completed.

We ask recruitment sites to continue with essential safety reporting for STRESS-L patients and to suspend all other trial activity. The STRESS-L trial team will suspend all non-urgent requests to recruitment sites during this time. We do not wish to pose any burden on research staff during this time but if recruitment sites feel they have capacity to continue with data queries during this time please let the STRESS-L trial team know and we will continue to work through these with you.
