Can I use WinRar instead of WinZip?
WinRAR is a general purpose archiving and compression program that works in much the same way as WinZip. Where as WinZip will create '.Zip' files, WinRar creates '.Rar's. Unfortunately these '.Rar' files are not supported by SiteBuilder. We recommend that you use WinZip to compress files for multiple uploads. If for any reason you cannot get access to WinZip, and you only have WinRar, it is possible to use it to create '.Zip' files.
Follow these three steps to create WinZip files using WinRar:
Step One
Open WinRar and choose "Add" from the toolbar or from the "Commands" menu. This is how you will add the files you want to add to your archive (zipped file). Choose "Zip" under "Archive Format" on the dialogue box that appears. Enter a name for your Zip archive under the "Archive Name" heading.
Step Two
Click on the "Files" tab (third one from the left) and add (or append) the files you want to include by browsing to the folder where the files are located. You can also opt to exclude files from the zipped archive here.
Step Three
Click "OK" when you've added all the files to your archive. There's no need to add them one at a time. You can select all the files you want before clicking the "OK" button. Your Zip file will be created and saved in the same location as the files you added to the archive.
You can then upload this .Zip file to a SiteBuilder page, and it will be 'unpacked' on the server.
