Members of Warwick Centre for Analytical Science (W-CAS) are convinced that no-one should take measurements if they don't know what they are doing. We therefore run workshops to help students, research fellows and other scientists to collect good data and understand what it means. Last summer (well September) the UK/EU Circular and Linear Dichroism Summer School and User Group meeting was enjoyed by the 70 or so attendees who came to different parts of it. We learned from lectures, workshops and laboratory sessions led by world leaders in the field and perhaps most importantly from each other — the weather even held out for a BBQ one evening which facilitated networking!
