About the Centre
Warwick Analytical Sciences Centre (WASC) is the community of scientists at Warwick whose research involves Analytical Science. Our specific interests span materials, sensors, molecular analysis, data analysis, modelling, biophysics, structural biology and more—anything where the rigour of needing good data to understand a scientific problem is relevant. Some of us focus on techniques and instrumentation and others on applications.
We champion the importance of analytical science nationally. We are increasing access to Warwick's 12 analytical science facilities to UK analytical science PhD students, and to industry, and focussing on the development of our research technical professionals (RTProfs).
WASC members are based in the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, the Medical School, Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics. WASC coordinates several post-graduate courses and training centres.
