Research Interests

I am interested in using computational strategies towards an atomistic understanding of nano- and bulkscale phenomena. My focus has been on studying phonon thermal transport through a combination of classical molecular dynamics and density functional theory (DFT), including tight-binding DFT. I have previously leveraged my experience with atomistic simulations towards a project on high-throughput molecular design, which familiarized me with photochemistry, and sparked my interest in the rapidly progressing field of computer-aided materials design. Currently I am working on phonon transport in nanoporous materials for thermoelectric applications.
