Samantha's research interests are primarily in understanding and supporting the health and wellbeing needs of people with neurodevelopmental conditions (including autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities) and the health and wellbeing needs of the people who support them (e.g., family carers, paid support workers).
Samantha Flynn is an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Research in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (CIDD). She is the Qualitative and Process Evaluation Lead for CIDD and is experienced in qualitative methods including Thematic Analysis, Framework Analysis, Content Analysis, and Grounded Theory. She has expertise in Process Evaluations of Feasibility and Definitive trials, including Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) for complex interventions. As part of this work, she has experience in developing and refining Theory of Change and Logic Models. She also has expertise in systematic reviews. She is also the Director of Impact and Director of Teaching for CIDD. Samantha is also the Assistant Editor for Social Media and Communications for the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research.
