CANCELLED: Law School Research Seminar - Thanos Zartaloudis, University of Kent
Talk Title: 'Legal History in the Present Tense'
Abstract: In this talk I will provide some personal reflections in outline with regard to my experiences of doing legal history research with reference to my work on the history of uses (early medieval) and the Franciscans; the ancient Greek notion of nomos (early ancient); the work of Yan Thomas in Roman Law and the current planning of a project on Physis/Nature. I aim to try to make this speak to both those of you with an interest in historical work and those who don’t share that interest. Ultimately legal history work, to my mind, is about how we think and research into law more widely.
