Would you be interested in dressing up as a fictional character for the day or doing a dramatic reading of a children’s book as part of the Big Read? The Warwick Institute of Engagement is hosting a celebration of reading aimed at children and young people. In Warwick Arts Centre, we’re being joined by children’s authors who will be running workshops, giving talks or chatting to guests in the foyer as well as staff and students from the university with stalls and activities related to reading. To make it even better we want to bring some characters to life and that is where we need you! We are renting professionally made book character costumes and we need people to wear them and wander the Arts Centre saying hello to guests and taking photos with them.

If you’re interested please fill in this form by Sunday 12^th March and list ‘The Big Read – costume’ when prompted. Travel expenses up to £10 can be reimbursed and you’ll earn a Warwick Award point.
