How do I use this calendar?

COP26: Climate Innovation Challenge

Careers in Economics Event 2021

Come and network with a range of employers and management consultancies and listen to a range of guest speakers. The event is for both undergraduate and postgraduate students studying Economics.

Networking with Employers

You will have an opportunity to meet and discuss what it is like to work in different sectors with representatives from a wide range of employers. Employers include, FTI Consulting, Brattle Group, Ofcom, Economic Insight, Compass Lexecon, Ofwat, Oxera, CEPA, BDO, Charles Rivers, Management Solutions and Cornerstone

Hybrid Employer Presentations (in-person and streamed)

These will be held in Slate 2 and we will have 4 employers delivering presentations on various economics related topics. After each presentation there will be a 10 minute Q&A with that employer who will clarify any questions or uncertainties you may have.

Registration

We will be observing the University guideline of 1.5m social distancing for this event so numbers to attend in-person will be limited, therefore registration is essential.

Please also take a lateral flow test before attending the event. If this shows you are positive or you have any COVID-19 symptoms then do not attend in-person.

Please register via Tabula and search under 'ECGENERAL' - Careers in Economics Event, to sign up for a time slot to attend the employer networking, these have been spread throughout the day at 15 minute intervals.

You will also be required to register for the presentations and keynote speaker. Please register via Tabula and search under 'ECGENERAL'.- Careers in Economics Event - Presentations and Keynote. Once these sessions are full you will be able to sign up to watch the presentations live streamed on the day, please use the form below to sign up to these.

Due to the limitation of numbers within the venue we will be live streaming the presentations and keynote speaker. Registration is mandatory using the registration form below. Once you have registered you will be sent a link to the streaming sessions.

Keynote Speaker - Dame Moya Greene OC, DBE

Warwick Economics Summit are pleased to present the keynote speaker, Dame Moya Green OC, DBE. Moya Greene

Dame Moya Greene’s 40-year career spans both the private and public sectors. She was born in Newfoundland Canada and spent 17 years in increasingly senior roles in the Canadian federal civil service. There she honed her policy, legislation and operational skills in 7 different departments including the Canadian Cabinet Office. She moved to the private sector in 1996 following her leadership of a significant regulatory and financial restructuring of the National Transportation system.

She has held senior corporate Executive and Board roles in banking, infrastructure finance, rail manufacturing, and logistics culminating in her appointment in 2005 as CEO of Canada Post. In 2010 she was recruited to lead Royal Mail through a major restructuring including the successful listing of the enterprise on the London Stock Exchange. Her leadership has been recognised on both sides of the Atlantic by universities and media including The National Post and the Financial Times. In 2018 Her Majesty the Queen bestowed on Greene the honour of a Damehood for services to business and to postal services. In 2020 she was admitted to the Order of Canada.

Due to limited in-person capacity in Slate 2 we will also be streaming the presentations and keynote speaker live. Registration for the live streaming is compulsory so please complete the registration form below. Presentations will be recorded and made available for you to watch at a later date.

Serle Court Prospective Pupillage Evening
