International Women's Day Fundraising EventWLS/Library/RootesRuns from Wednesday, March 08 to Friday, March 10. The theme for the 2023 International Women's Day, ‘DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality’, highlights the need to bridge the gender gap and access opportunities in digital education for women and girls. Over 10 million girls are out of school in Nigeria, with no access to digital and technological education. To commemorate the day, we are raising funds to train 50 girls in Nigeria in digital and technological courses, thus increasing their employability skills. Our target is to raise funds for 50 girls which will cost around £4100 for the bootcamp training in digital courses. We will be having an offline fundraise in 3 different locations for 3 days consecutively: 8 March - The Warwick Law School, 9 March - Outside the Library, 10 March - Outside the Rootes Grocery Store. |
