The event will recognise and celebrate the contribution our volunteers have made to the local community this year and we will also be announcing the winners of the Warwick Volunteers Awards 2021, so please join us if you can! Even if you can’t stay for the whole event we would love to see you there. We’ll be sending out a zoom link and passcode nearer the time.

Join us for our regular “Tea and Talk” events, open to all Warwick students! A chance for you to meet, chat and have a virtual cuppa with students across the university; or chat informally about a different wellbeing theme each week. It is also a great way for you to stay connected with others.

Join us for an online screening of a short film of a poem created by artist Salma Zulfiqar working with refugees and inspired by the Crossing the Mediterranean Sea by Boat research project carried out by University of Warwick. We will also explore stories from people who moved from their home countries to seek safety in Europe, and there will be an opportunity for discussion of the issues raised in the wider context of asylum and migration.

How to Write an Article for Publication

We’ll talk about various aspects of what’s involved in writing a journal article. If you are in the process, or even just thinking of, doing so (I know many of you are), please send me or Giulia an abstract of the article under preparation (or several abstracts — for different articles, or even different versions of an abstract for the same article, as it might be useful to try them out). No rush — any time before the 21st would be great. We feel it would add substance to our discussion if we have some real-life projects to talk about.
