For the first time ever, TEDxWarwick is hosting a dynamic virtual conference. Global speakers, diverse topics, a fluid timetable - all free of charge and to be viewed in the comfort of your own home.

The ASIA Careers Insight Series (ACIS) of 30+ webinars, takes place during all of March 2021 and will help you connect with employers recruiting in mainland China, Hong Kong, South East Asia & India, plus provide you with application and interview tips and give you a chance to ask questions to graduate recruiters directly.

You can choose to join just one webinar, or all of them. Recordings will also be available.

The Discover Economics Virtual Series aims to open the eyes of Year 9 and 10 students from local schools to the exciting subject of economics, to help them gain a better understanding of what economics is at a crucial stage of their education, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding their future studies.

It is well known that economics, as a subject, suffers from a lack of female role models. This has been indicated as one of the reasons why female students in economics are under-represented. It is our objective to emphasise the role of women in economics with the objective to widen female participation within the subject.

Please note that this programme should be useful for any students who are curious about economics and want to find out more about what it involves and what careers it may lead to.

We would also like to extend our invitation to parents who would like to find out more about what studying economics involves and how we guide and support our students so that they can prepare for exciting careers in economics. The session for parents is on 25 March at 6-7pm and details can be found in the programme below.

The Department of Economics at the University of Warwick are supporting Discover Economics - a national campaign led by the Royal Economics Society which aims to broaden the appeal of economics to potential students, change their perceptions of economics and attract more students from under-represented groups to the discipline.
