Connecting place, culture, research and impact – stories from Coventry.

This one-day live event will focus on the learning outcomes from the Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 intensive independent research programme, led by the University of Warwick and Coventry University with local artists, communities and citizens. The day will look ahead to researching Coventry’s legacy programme and the opportunities for Bradford UK City of Culture 2025. The event is free and open to all.

Taking place in ManchesterLink opens in a new window at the end of the year, the packed programme offers delegates the chance to meet lawyers and recruiters from some of the most dynamic and interesting firms in the UK. Interactive firm-led workshops provide insight into real work, while the panel discussions with partners and trainees help delegates understand how law firms operate as businesses, and what exactly is expected in the early stages of their career.

Looking for keen and motivated students to apply and will be making offers on a rolling basis before the deadline of 27 October 2022 – it's encouraged applicants to get their applications in early.

This session will raise awareness of amazing career opportunities with European languages and answer questions about what it’s like working as a conference interpreter. There will be a brief presentation and time for Q+A afterwards . Speaker bio: Beth Black is from the UK and studied French and German at university, followed by a Masters in Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bath. She started working as a freelance interpreter and translator based in Brussels in 2012, before becoming a full-time interpreter at the European Commission in 2015. She interprets from French, German and Dutch into English.
