The 2019 PPE Social
PPE held its 2019 Social on Friday 3 May, bringing together students, staff and alumni. This year our social was held in The Slate, with welcome drinks, a street food dinner and dancing. We were delighted to welcome back a number of alumni, and especially to hear some wise words from graduates Ionut, Jasmine and Arthi.
Ionut Ștefan-Bîrdea is an Analyst at Frontier Economics while also studying for an MSc in Economics part-time at Birkbeck University, Jasmine Dhaliwal is working for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Arthi Nachiappan is Editorial Assistant at Wonkhe, a higher education policy thinktank. All three shared some of their experiences of being a Warwick PPE student, and gave some excellent advice to our current students.
We were also pleased to present our Final Year Student Ambassadors with their Ambassador T-Shirts, and four students were given special awards for their particular commitment to their positions. Congratulations to our prize winners:
- Stef Cerruti
- Salko Kadic
- Elena Lopez Serrano
- Josh Markert
And thank you to our Final Year Student Ambassadors:

The night ended with a ceilidh dance, thanks to Academic Administrator Clare Watters, and moved onto ABBA classics (one for the office!) and club playlist, thanks to the PPE Society.
Thank you to everyone who came along, and we hope it was a well-deserved break from revision for our students!
