Sir Geoffrey Bindman QC will talk about "Enforcing Human Rights: What Can Lawyers Achieve?" and Sophie Bindman will talk about "Common Values: The State of Rights and Freedoms in Coalition Britain" at 6:30 pm on December 6 in H0.52. Sir Geoffrey Bindman is a human rights lawyer. He established Bindmans LLP in 1974 with the aim of "protecting the rights and freedoms of ordinary people." He is also chair of the British Institute of Human Rights. Sophie Farthing is a Policy Officer of Liberty. This is the third of this year's PPE Guest Lectures.

Theodore Zeldin will talk about "The Future of Work," at 6:30 pm in SO.21. Theodore Zeldin is a philosophy and historian. He is the author of many books, including An Intimate History of Humanity (Vintage 1995) and Conversation: How Talk Can Change Our Lives (HiddenSpring 2000). He is president of the Oxford Muse Foundation. This is the second of this year's PPE Guest Lectures.

I'd like to announce that PPE has a forum. The Forum is for students and staff to discuss anything relevant to the past, present, and future curriculum and organization of PPE—Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, open to all students and staff in the three PPE Departments.
