About Warwick Foundation Studies
Warwick Foundation Studies was established in 2016 as the new home of the Warwick International Foundation Programme. Our mission is to deliver world-leading educational programmes that prepare students for their future success. Warwick Foundation Studies is an academic department of the University - with exactly the same structures as other academic departments at Warwick - meaning that many of the rules, regulations and procedures outlined in this handbook will also apply to students studying in other departments.
All students enrolled within Warick Foundation Studies receive the same access and benefits as all other undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at the University.
About the Warwick International Foundation Programme
The Warwick International Foundation Programme (Warwick IFP) is one of the UK's longest running pre-university courses - established in 1983! The course is designed to allow our students to develop the academic, English language and intercultural skills necessary to enable them to succeed on a degree programme at Warwick or other leading UK universities.
After over 30 years delivering the Warwick IFP in partnership with local schools and colleges, the University decided to move the course onto campus for the first time in 2016-17. This move means that Warwick IFP students are now taught on-campus within a brand-new department designed to deliver pre-university courses. All students enrolled on the Warwick IFP are full members of the Warwick community - with full access to all of the facilities that the university has to offer.
