Students are eligible for one of the Pre-sessional English language courses if:

• Their first language is not English;
• They have an offer to study a degree with Warwick for entry in 2023/24, with an English language condition outstanding;
• They meet the English language requirements as outlined below.

Previous study in the medium of English

Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree entirely in the UK or another English speaking country will not be eligible to take the PSE.

*Students holding offers with Applied Linguistics and the Medical School will also be required to meet specific component scores in addition to these levels.

MA TESOL and all other taught courses in Applied Linguistics (Band A) will require a 6.0 in the Writing component, research degrees in Applied Linguistics (Band B) will require a 6.5 in the Writing component.

Medical School taught courses (Band A) will require a 6.0 in the Reading and Writing components.
