Professor James Hayton
Dean, Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations
James Hayton, an internationally renowned academic scholar and leader, is the Dean of the Rutgers School of Management and Labour Relations (SMLR). Hayton's areas of interests include entrepreneurship and human resources practises in small and medium-sized firms. Previously holding the position of Pro-Dean at Warwick Business School, the University of Warwick (UK) where he was responsible or developing and communicating school-wide goals and has overseen strategic planning and budgeting processes. Hayton has maintained an extensive record of teaching, mentoring and service contributions at all of these institutions. Hayton received his doctorate in Human Resource management from the W.T.Beebe institute of personnel and Employment Relations at the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He also holds a B.A in business administration from middlesex University (UK).

Professor John Lyon

Initially trained as a Clinical Biochemist, then as a Chartered Accountant (PriceWaterhouseCoopers). John is a Fellow of the ICAEW, a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Chartered Scientist and Chartered Director. He was awarded the northern entrepreneur of the year award for science and technology in 2005 sponsored by Ernst and Young. John has held non-executive and chairman appointments spanning over 25 years as both a venture capitalist and a personal investor. As a Professor of Practice at WBS, John combines his entrepreneurial activities with an interest in entrepreneurship research, specialising in entrepreneurial failure and its effects on entrepreneurs' subsequent behaviours.
