Presenters and Paper Submissions

Purpose

The Paper Sessions are an occasion for DBA students and DBA graduates to present the purpose, process, and content of their dissertation, and to share their insights into the development of an impactful research

Who can present papers at the DBA Conference

Current DBA students and alumni can present. Every stage of the dissertation (including very early works in progress) will be considered. All topics and methodological approaches within the spectrum of the business and management discipline will be considered.

1. Abstract Submission

Those interested in participating in the conference are required to submit a 500-word abstract to DBA Office.

Abstract to be submitted to

  • Marc Rose, Programme Manager
  • Rachel Liu, Programme Coordinator

  • dbaoffice@wbs.ac.uk

Submissions should be accompanied by

  • The name of applicant
  • Current degree programme
  • Year/stage of programme
  • Name of institution, and
  • Contact details

2. Final Paper Submission

Successful applications will be notified by mid December 2025.

Successful participants will be required to submit a complete paper by 2nd January 2026. So that discussants may prepare in advance.

3. Presentation Submission

Accompanying 20-minute PowerPoint presentations are requested by 16th January 2026, with a draft submission requested by 9th January 2026. Each presentation will be followed by a further 20 minutes of Q&A.

Successful applications Notified: mid December 2025

Submission of Complete Paper: Friday 2nd January 2026

Draft Presentation Submission: Friday 9th January 2026

Final Presentation Submission: Friday 16th January 2026
