Why we shouldn't be surprised Brexit trade deal could take 10 years
A post-Brexit UK-EU trade deal might take 10 years to finalise and still fail, Britain's ambassador to the EU has privately told the government.
The BBC reports Sir Ivan Rogers warned ministers that the European consensus was that a deal might not be done until the early to mid-2020s.

More than 300 police officers have been accused of using their position to sexually exploit people, including victims of crime, according to a report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary. It said abuse of authority for sexual gain was now the "most serious" form of corruption facing police in England and Wales.
