50th Anniversary cookery book shows new students the art of Simple Scoff
Students and academics from the University of Warwick, working with the Vice-Chancellor’s wife Lynda Thrift, have put together a cookery book as a part of the University’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Simple Scoff: The Anniversary Edition. The book offers cheap, simple recipes and cooking tips from around the university. It also features illustrations and poems by former students and staff such as BBC media correspondent Torin Douglas.

Researchers at the University of Warwick’s School of Engineering are using imaging technologies, that are normally applied to automotive engines and sprays, to image thousands of mosquitoes to help develop better netting and physical protection against the malaria spreading insect.
In Memoriam: Dr Oliver Sacks
The Warwick community is saddened by the death of Dr Oliver Sacks who was a much loved Visiting Professor at the University of Warwick who drew capacity crowds for every lecture and seminar he gave on our campus. Warwick also conferred on him the degree of Honorary Doctor of Science in January 2014.
