Key professions losing staff due to lack of support for student mothers

Key professions such as nursing, teaching and social work are losing thousands of potential recruits as student mothers drop out of higher education due to a lack of support from universities. The findings are revealed in new research out today (Wednesday 19 August) from the Institute for Employment Research at the University of Warwick, which was funded by the Nuffield Foundation.

Triple table success - Warwick ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world in third table

The new Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), published on Saturday August 15th 2015, ranks the University of Warwick among the top 100 universities in the world. Warwick is now ranked 92nd in the world in that table, a jump of 96 places on the previous year’s ranking.


Warwick engineering students design world beating submarine

A submarine designed and built by engineering students at the University of Warwick was awarded 1st Prize for Innovation at the 2015 the International Submarine Races (ISR).
