Adult Opportunities

Adults who are connected to the IB community are welcome to participate in the IB World Student Conference and should book a place via www.ibo.org. The adult observer registration fee covers airport transfers on Sunday 4 August and Saturday 10 August, all meals, the conference programme and entertainment during the conference. It does not cover accommodation.

Some adult observer accommodation will be provided in Radcliffe House, which is one of the conference centres on the University campus. General details are at: www.warwick.ac.uk/conferences/ourvenues/radcliffe/

The bed and breakfast rate for an en-suite room will be £65 per person per night plus VAT. Individuals can book their accommodation either via telephoning +44 (0) 24 7647 4711 or by emailing the reservation co-ordinator s.d.jones@warwick.ac.uk. Please quote booking reference number 998058.

Alternative accommodation options off-campus can be found via http://www.visitcoventryandwarwickshire.co.uk/stay/.

There is also the opportunity for adults in the IB community to become official conference chaperones or Global Action Team (GAT) Leaders. These adults would have to provide their own transportation to and from the University, but would have no additional fees during the conference.

Chaperones will be assigned 10 students to monitor and mentor during the week, and GAT leaders would be in charge of 20 students in a daily small group discussions during the week of the conference. Please see www.ibo.org for more details of positions available.
