Grammar schools - one topic Labour can agree on

"Within the Labour Party there has been a long tradition of opposition to Grammar Schools. Given the problems of the past few months, this appears to be one issue around which the whole party can unite.

"There is likely to be cross party support to oppose the introduction of Grammar schools. Of course, what is also significant are the other plans Labour have for education and schools and the proposals to give greater powers to Local Authorities."
