Trump-Russia inquiry: President 'looking forward' to interview - expert comment
President Donald Trump has said he is prepared to be questioned under oath as part of an investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election. Dr Trevor McCrisken, Dept. of Politics comments
"President Trump's willingness to speak to Special Investigator Robert Mueller “subject to my lawyers, and all of that” is highly unlikely to solicit any admissions of guilt from the president about collusion with Russia.
"Nonetheless it is significant because it shows that the investigation is now reaching right to the top of the administration, and also that if evidence suggests that Trump does not speak honestly and fully in the interview with Mueller then it might help the building of a case of "obstruction of justice" against the administration and the president himself."
