Roger Coull and Philip Gallaway of the Coull Quartet feature in a BBC Radio3 programme about the renowned violinist and teacher Frederick Grinke, who would have been 100 this year.
'Grinke recalled' will be broadcast on Wed 18th May at 20.10 as part of the eclectic arts series Twenty Minutes.
Roger and Phillip were both taught by Frederick Grinke along with the poet Fiona Sampson who devised the programme. The Quartet are currently involved in a collaboration with Fiona and composer Sally Beamish entitled 'Beyond the Lyric' in which Fiona's poems will be the basis of a work for tenor and quartet. Fiona Sampson was a Warwick Fellow of Creativity at the CAPITAL Centre in 2008.
