On Wednesday 19 June, CELTE hosted a Sino-Russian Professional Forum for Teacher Trainers from China and Russia. Both groups were attending separate tailor-made courses arranged by CELTE's Short Course Unit in association with the British Council. The Warwick programmes are part of large projects in both the Siberian region and Shanghai, involving delivering teacher training to teachers of English.
The afternoon was helped along with tea and cakes provided by Hospitality Services. It proved an ideal format for the trainers to share not only ideas and materials, but contact details too, so that they can continue the professional exchange now that they have returned to their own contexts.
