Top Japanese Executive Visits Warwick

Mr Kouji Ohboshi, Corporate Advisor to NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Japan’s largest mobile telecommunications network, will be paying a special visit to the University of Warwick for talk on "Mobile Futures: The Creation of Economic Demand by Mobile Communications & Social Reformation by Ubiquitous Network".

Mr. Ohboshi, who is flying in from Tokyo specifically to provide this presentation, will discuss how top management of Japanese companies is facing "an intellectual challenge" to find an exit from a long lasting structural deflation.

This, through a case study on the early years of NTT DoCoMo, detailing how they achieved revenue/profit increase for 10 years in a row by overcoming such challenges.

In addition to his role as Corporate Advisor to NTT DoCoMo, Inc, Mr Ohboshi is author of several publications, including 'Management in DoCoMo's Rapid Growth', 'Marketing of Electric Communication' and 'Impact of Next Generation Cellular.'

He also serves as Chairman of the Japan Telework Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mobile Communication Fund, Deputy Chairman of the Japan Habitat Association, Advising Professor of Harbin Institute of Technology in China,and is a Honorary Doctor at Anaheim University.

His May 11 visit is made possible by the Warwick Business School.

The presentation will be held in the Ramphal Lecture Theatre at 6:15 pm followed by a Q&A session.
