Warwick ranked 6th in Sunday Times University Guide

The Sunday Times University Guide, published yesterday, ranks Warwick 6th in the UK.

Warwick has climbed one place since the 2004 edition.

In short:

  • Warwick is ranked 9th overall by headteachers, and 5th for undergraduate History courses
  • Warwick is ranked equal third (with LSE) by its peers
  • Warwick is ranked number 1 in the Midlands
  • Warwick students attain the 7th highest A/AS-Level entry points
  • Warwick ranks 80th in the world accroding to the Times Higher Education Supplement
  • 78.2% of Warwick students gain first or 2:1s putting Warwick 4th in the "Best Degrees" table
  • Warwick's Ladies' Tenpin Bowling Team are the 2004/5 British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) champions
  • Warwick ranks 14th in the "Highest Graduate Starting Salaries" table
  • Warwick has 9.2 applications per place, making in 3rd in the "Competition for Places" table
  • Warwick ranks 5th for research excellence

According to the write-up Warwick is "geared up to academic excellence with top teaching and research ratings attracting some of the brightest students." and "Sports and arts facilities are on par with the very best."
