The University of Warwick was one of the main sponsors of the prestigious Awards for Excellence 2009 Celebration staged by Business in the Community (BITC) West Midlands.
More than 250 people from all across the region attended the event at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, on the 23rd June. Guests were treated to several dramatic performances based on the Coventry Mystery Plays and a special “It’s never been more important” Question Time (pictured).
The entertainment was followed by the presentation of BITC awards for best practice in corporate responsibility to West Midlands businesses. Among the keynote speakers were David Smith, Chief Executive of Jaguar Land Rover, and Stephen Howard, the new Chief Executive of BITC.
Other sponsors of the Celebration were Jaguar Land Rover, Advantage West Midlands and Morrison Facilities.
